Sneak peak Summer 13 range .

It's a wrap Summer 13 is now photographed and ready to show or put to bed. The development of this range started last August and it is our biggest range yet. I cannot tell you how much agonising has gone into this range so many sleepless nights over colour choices and animal face constructions . Each season there are always some items that I love and the general public loathe which makes the ordering up front a scary business it is a real gamble. We have taken in all your feedback and animal requests .Hopefully within our crochet summer 13 range you will find a animal friend or something beautiful for the home as our homeware line expands .

I have included some sneak peaks of our range photographed by Tara Pearce and styled by Sami Johnson .

All our new summer products will be available the beginning of August and we hope you love it as much as we have creating it . Don't forget to join up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about our range launch and the opportunity to pre-order your favourite item for Christmas.

Escaping the cold

We have arrived and for the last few days we have been in Thailand part business sourcing trip part family holiday. It was a busy few days before we left organising our little business to leave behind. We have however left it in some very capable hands so for anyone wondering it is business as usual with our web shop .

Travelling with kids definitely changes the dynamics of travel but I have to say it has been great and super rewarding .

Some great things have come out of our visit to Bangkok both a mixture of business and pleasure :

-Already we have managed to team up with some amazing makers for some new and exciting projects .

-We visited a great aquarium in Siam centre Bangkok well worth a visit . One of the boys favourite things so far and they are still talking about the giant crabs and they where giant . Also served as some great inspiration for our next range Ocean creatures anyone ?
- We mastered the public trains although crowded the boys loved riding the train system was a real novelty .

- The kindness we have been shown by the  Thai people has been overwhelming .People have gone out of there way to help us on and off the train with the kids , Stopped and shown us directions , and one guy even gave us his train ticket and showed us how to purchase more tickets with the machine .So far it has made travelling with the kids in Thailand very comfortable.

-We stayed at the Novotel in Bangkok and I can highly recommend it . Great location train stop very close , great size rooms and a fantastic buffet breakfast .

We are now also on Instagram for anyone wanting to see more of what we have been up .

Have you been to Thailand before ? What are some your travel tips for travelling with kids ?

I love seeing old techniques being used in modern creative ways it really does make me smile . Did you cross stitch or even long stitch as a child ?

A childhood favourite

I have had to admit , I really have loved watching the growing relationship my two boys have really developed this year  they really are best of mates most of the times ( they do fight to ) . My favourite thing is to watch there little games and there pretend play it takes me back to my childhood . Our La de dah kids Crochet animal masks have been the perfect accessory to encourage this play. Whilst my two year old wears the Zebra mask and makes the sound of the Cat my 4 year old gives the roar of a lion and they run and crawl and play games both inside and out . Whilst the weather is changing these masks and tail sets are the perfect entertainment  for that inside play . These mask and tail sets are also small and light which makes them perfect to takeaway on holidays or post as a special gift . How do you keep your kids entertained on the inside days ?
